چکیده

Multi-environment trials (MET) are fundamental for assessing genotype-by-environment interaction (GxE) effects, adaptability and stability of genotypes provide valuable information about target regions. As such, a MET involving grain sorghum hybrid combinations derived from elite inbred lines adapted to diverse production regions was developed assess agronomic performance, stability, genomic-enabled prediction accuracies within mega-environments (ME). Ten females ten males the Texas A&M Kansas State breeding programs were crossed following factorial mating scheme generate 100 hybrids. Grain yield, plant height, days anthesis assessed in consisting environments across over two years. Genotype plus Genotype-by-block-of-environment biplot (GGB) ME, while "mean-vs-stability" view Bayesian Finlay–Wilkinson regression evaluated stability. A genomic model including GxE effect applied ME accuracy. Results suggest that different can produce superior GGB confirmed distinct adaption U.S. Further, predictions reported inconsistent results, suggesting additional effects rather than correlations between influencing

Stability and adaptability of grain sorghum hybrids in the off-season.

We analyzed productivity data obtained from experiments on grain sorghum conducted in 7 locations of its cultivation in Brazil. A total of 25 hybrids were analyzed, of which 22 were pre-commercial and 3 were cultivars. The Wricke and Purchase et al. methods were highly consistent in identifying individuals with low contributions to genotype x environment interactions. The Lin and Binns method p...

Analysis of grain yield stability and assessment of genotype × environment interaction for grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) genotypes

The interaction of genotype × environment creates complications in yield prediction and is a challenge for agronomy and plant breeding programs. To evaluate grain yield stability and genotype × environment interaction for 18 local and exotic grain sorghum cultivars, lines, and hybrids, a field experiment was conducted using randomized complete block design with three replications in four region...

Evaluation of grain yield in sorghum hybrids under water stress.

Sorghum grain yield can be significantly affected by climatic changes, especially drought and high temperature. The purpose of this study was to evaluate hybrids of grain sorghum grown under normal irrigation conditions or water stress in order to select those likely to be more tolerant of drought. Forty-nine hybrids were grown in a randomized block design experiment, with three replications. T...

Stability Analysis of Genotype × Environment Interaction Effect on Sugar Yield in Sugar Beet Hybrids

Testing plant varieties under different regions is necessary to assess their stability. In this study, 17 sugar beet genotypes were evaluated in a randomized complete block design with six replications in five regions including Karaj, Hamedan, Miandoab, Mashhad, and Shiraz. After checking the homogeneity of mean squares in five experiments by Bartlett’s test, analysis of the combined was per...
